Call tonight claiming to be from the Telephone Preference Service and asking if I received cold calls. A man with an Asian accent on a crackly line in a call centre then informed me that my subscription was about to expire. Clearly a scam so I told him what I thought of him and hing up. The number is not registered - is it not time that the phone companues filtered calls from unregistered numbers to stop this sort of abuse as it is untraceable.

Freemoments magazine called me, apparently I completed an online survey and a very polite man (although he sounded quite agitated) asked me if I drove and when I answered him, he told me I had been awarded a £20 free fuel voucher for completing the survey. This hasn t happened and I asked them how they got hold of my number - they said from my holiday company, which is strange because I always put a no against any desire to share information with a 3rd party. When I said I was inTPS and would sue them if they called again, they said l couldnt do that...hilarious. when I asked for their name they hung up. Avoid.
