I live in Plymouth but judging by other comments, they were calling from Darlington. Asked her for name of company and she said Industrial Workers Office. I gave them an earful and hung up. Answered the call from a local 0208 number. It was automated voice, claiming that I didn’t complete my return on time & I owe the HMRC back taxes and fine....it sounded like a scam as it didn’t give any specifics - and I know I filed my tax return on time as I got a tax refund!!! However, for a split second I did get worried !!
