This was a cold call from Tom stating that previous loft insulation was subjct to condensation and there was a free inspection. Please explain as where you obtained my phone number, as under current British Law it is unlawful to make unsolicited for which fines can be instigated. This is a scam number from India (pretending to be in Northern Ireland) saying they are BT Openreach and I have a virus on my PC. Just put the phone down BT does not call customers unless you have already raised a fault and all their call centres are in the UK.

Received a call at 8.00am stating it was Michael calling from Microsoft Security about my computer. Microsoft Security team DO NOT ever call customers about their computers. This is a total SCAM and needs to be stopped.

Rung 3 times today - claimed be from Electric gas company twice then British Gas
Just had a call from this number saying he was a Bailiff coming round this afternoon to collect on a debt from an advertisement I placed for my business in January 2018. Very insistent but I ended up putting the phone down on him when he would not listen to me, and before he got to asking for any bank details. DO NOT BE TAKEN IN. I have now reported the call to my local County Court as advised by the www.gov.uk website.

An English voice. He asked for me by the correct name and when I said yes he said "Hello Maam, I'm Dean Baker, I'm calling from Microsoft, it's about your computer, how are you today?" I replied with "Oh yes, I've heard all about this type of call, do you still want to carry on?" The phone went dead even before I'd finished my sentence.

Number actually shows as 0019798234079 on caller ID but this site seems to drop the 00. This is a Windows security scam where they tell you that you have viruses on your PC and they can fix them for you. Didn t go along with it today and said to them that I suppose they were going to show me errors and warnings in my Windows event logs and they just hung up without any further comment. Hopefully they will remove me from their database if they realise I m too Windows savvy to ever fall for this.
