Called claiming that i had some money due to be refunded to me he was very aggressive had an English accent. Asked me to confirm my address and other personal details I asked him to tell me what details they have of me and that i will confirm if they are correct turns out they had my address and phone number. Tried to get me to give them my email address i refused stating that they should put it all in writing as they have my home address and the i will decide if i would like to give them a call back.
I gave AmEx a call and confirmed that this was not an official number.

Keeps calling. Won't stop. Says I've been ripped off on my electric and gas.
Called me twice so far today. Automated voice claiming to be from Mastercard/Visa, saying that £600 has been withdrawn from my account and to press 1 immediately, as my account has been compromised. Scaremongering and fraudulent. I hung up each time.
They call and ask you for a one time payment to support a magazine to go into schools regarding bullying. ONCE. ONE TIME ONLY. You do not sign a contract, you do not enter into an agreement. They then persistently call you and ask you for more money as apparently you have entered into a contract. Recognise a Scam: Unsolicited Call They associate themselves with ‘a good cause’ It's a limited offer . Claims of the backing of a respected organisation No money upfront Nothing in writing REPORT THEM
