call with a very noisy background and slow to answer when I picked up, claimed to be from an insurer but very evasive and unwilling to indicate from whom he was calling. seemed to be a Scammer, cold caller or very unprofessional.

TAXES / HMRC SCAM Press 1 to speak to an operator. Letter from 'HMRC' has been returned. Wants my details to take me to court.

SCAM 'John' phoned re me possibly being eligible to a free pendant alarm. Then switched to a pre recorded presentation and I could not get my question in. 'John' came back on line and would not say where he had got my details from and he terminated the call

The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based. this number is for a ulez payment but is a con i paid a charge of £17.50 and is on my bank statement as ULEZSERVICE but my ulez charge has not been paid on the receipt is this number every time i call picked up and cut of never have i spoken to any one i would never have known unless i called tfl and asked why they took £17.50 instead of £12.50 where i now have a £80.00 charge so this scam has cost me almost £100.00

The caller was an Indian man who knew my name, but refused to tell me his name or which company he is calling on behalf of. He hung up after I told him I will take legal action against unsolicited and junk calls.

SCAM !!! Makes out he’s a debt collector from Northamptonshire county court. Try’s to tell you there’s a CCJ against you for unpaid fees to an advertising company (community council advertising working in connection with National crime prevention) recons bailiffs will be attending at 9am. He can stop it if we make a part payment! Didn’t like it when we fired back with lots of legal jargon (read from internet ????). Do NOT fall for it!! Please report

SCAM They ask you to tell them the OTP - one time password code that they request to be sent to your phone. If you tell them the code they can order anything from Amazon Prime and use any save payment details associated with your account. DO NOT TELL THEM THE SIX DIGIT CODE!!!

Fraud: Phone number linked to random PayPal money requests for £980. Do not call.

This was an automated call about a charge for Amazon Prime membership that had expired. I don't currently have an Amazon Prime membership, so this was almost certainly a scam call.

They offered me a 40% discount on my EE bill. I checked with EE and its a scam, nothing to do with EE. They ask some personal questions (which i refused to answer) then send a generic email, Subject 'EE Upgradation' (im not even sure that's a word, is it) saying Welcome to EE, etc, etc. I hung up and suggest you do the same.

Pretended to be from Virgin Media, but I know they do not call from Manchester and they give their first name when they call you. Clearly a scam
