These ppl call from so many different numbers 10 - 15 times a day, I even got a call from these on sunday

Generally when there s a long pause before they answer, it s safe to say it s a call centre that I m going to have zero interest in talking to. Whistle loudly down the phone. They don t tend to call back again. ;)

Our number is registered with the TPS. This call came at 09:50 on Monday. Recorded (or synthesised) Northern English (Huddersfield?) male voice. Claimed to be calling from Amazon about illegal/suspicious "activity on your account", as a result of which a charge of over £1,000 to "the card linked to the account" had been stopped. since I posted my comment on 22 April, I see lots of you have had calls, but I haven t had any more. Maybe they persist with one area for a while then move on. I did have the calls regularly for weeks before I posted here. So maybe it will quieten for the rest of you soon, particularly K.Harris. So sorry you have been pestered like this.

Another BT Internet scam. When is BT Internet going to stop these?

This number called several times but left no message. As it was a local number I called back. It went straight to a recorded message & said I had been called by the NHS & would call back within 24 hrs. This is not an NHS number! My family are not under any hospitals or GPs for anything at this moment or indeed in several years. Other sites have this number reported as being untrustworthy.

Answered call and could hear call centre noises in background but no-one spoke. Eventually call was ended. no idea who it was as search on number does not bring up any results
