Recieved phone call from 01483577441 at 1045am on Saturday 28th January 2023, Preporting to be from Amazon, stating they were witholding a payment of £700.00 As they suspect it. Asking me to press 1, which of course I didn't. This was a recorded message. I have never bourght anything of that value. This is a scam. beware.

This was a scammer who pretended to be from BT talking about illegal access to your broadband.!! That's rich!! Hacked my bank account and Amazon a/c. It took ages-up to 5 days to clear this mess up and it leaves a sour taste in your mouth. If someone had asked me last night if the death penalty was appropriate for scammers, I would have agreed. Now thinking about it castration without anaesthetic would be better.
This landline rang us this morning with a recorded message trying to tell us our Amazon account had been hacked. Obviously ignore as all our accounts are in order. Clearly a scammer, more worrying that it is on a local landline!

Apparently I applied for life insurance, even though what I suffer from life insurance can't cover. Never ACTUALLY even googled life insurance, simply talked to my partner as he's reaching his 50s in a few years. This number called me on 28.04.23. Supposedly, a message from my bank to inform that my debit card had been used for suspicious purchases. To cancel the 2 transactions and speak to an agent press 1, which I did. A woman with a very strong foreign accent requested my name, date of birth and address in order to make the cancellation. She then asked for my card sort code, which rang alarm bells. I told her that if she was calling from my bank she should already know that and I would ring them. She hung up.
