Called from Talk Talk Tech department to say to say a there is problem with our router. He required access to our PC. We are not talk talk customers and these calls are now coming in at a rate of 4 or 5 per day

Call from heavily-accented female who told me I have lots of viruses and malware on my computer. I asked where she was from - Windows department(!) I pretended to be shocked and asked her how she could tell and she got me to open event viewer - which I did, to see the normal number of errors and warnings. She sat there while I pretended to delete them all, then tried to get me to connect to some very dodgy-sounding website, which I was not about to do, despite virus & malware checkers running in the backgr

Had a call from the CIB wanting me to do a survey. Fourth one in a week and all from different numbers. Guy would not take no about the dumb ass survey so terminated the call.

Clearly a scam call relating to Amazon Prime. I put the phone down.

Answered because it showed a mobile number. Same as other reports, caller asked me to confirm that I had been in a car accident that wasn t my fault. I said no, and asked to be removed form the mailing list and not called again. She hung up. Blocked.

Called my elderly grandad just now (isn?t the first time). He couldn?t understand him so passed the phone to me. An Indian man calling from ?Remote Security? and enquiring about a ?computer or laptop in your house? I told him we didn?t have either and he carried on trying to talk, so I repeated that we didn?t have either and to not call again and he hung up. Answered call and a young man asked to speak with me by name in regard to private pensions, when he found that I was already retired & receiving a state pension, he said sorry for troubling me and ended the call.

Called twice today. Perported to be from an insurance company that I have dealt with in the past. Not them.

This number sent me an unsolicited text with an attachment described as a picture for me. Clearly a scam/virus/phishing. Deleted without opening, beware!!
