Just been called from this number claiming to be from BT Openreach wanting my Internet details as my security had been compromised. When challenged the caller was rude and hung up on me.This website suggests the phone is based near Greater Manchester but a phone locator website suggests it is based in London. Silence when I answered and hung up after 9 seconds. A recorded message of an American woman saying the number is not in service when I called back and automatically hung up on me.
Claiming to be from Amazon, suspicious activity on my account, and Amazon had sent me an email alerting me to this problem, which I hadn't got, he wanted access to my computer, he couldn't make up his mind if it was a Smart Phone that was trying to be ordered, or general household goods. I said I wouldn't allow any access to my Computer, the phone went dead!!!

This is a scam. They phoned me on my (not a smart) mobile. An automated American voice stated they were from HMRC informing me that I owed money and they were sending the dept collectors around. To discuss this matter further and settle the debt I should press; 1. Problem is, I did my Tax Return in April and don't owe any tax. I've not owed tax for years.
