Energy Guard cold call. Told me I had asbestos in my lost. Asked how he knew that, told me it is in his database, I asked what details he had about me and my property in his database and to treat that question as a GDPR request with 28 days to comply before I report this to the Government Information Commissioner. Called my landline claiming to be from Smiley Broadband and could save me money on my landline and broadband. Asked how long they had been trading as I've never heard of them. Guy said that they were based in Luton and had been trading for 20 years. Declined the offer and hung up.
Received call from this number asked if I was who I was then hung up. Tried to call them back with no success. Strange to have been on a local dial code.

Insurance. Very suspicious. The caller claimed to be calling about renewal of an insurance policy on my washing machine. He sounded convincing until he said he wanted to confirm my bank details. I asked him to tell me what details he had and he said he didn't have that information and wanted me to give them to him. Naturally, I refused to do this and he quickjy terminated the conversation. This is probably an attempted fraud.
This is total harassment. I feel like driving to Rotherham and give them a piece of my mind. Why call me at work? This is only to harass and embarrass. I could lose my job over this. Thanks Debt Management (NOT)

Answered this random call to my mobile, automated message saying that a charge had been made against my name from the inland revenue. Ridiculous, I called back to challenge them. A foreign man answered saying HMRC can I help you? I asked why they called me, he asked if he could have my name. I said no. He said You had better get ready to be arrested, Ms ....... (using my name, which I hadn t given), then hung up. Vile scum.

The call purpoting to be from HM Revenue dept was suspicious. The correct name Her Majesty s Revenue and Customs, commonly abbreviated as HMRC never initiate communication by telephone, only by letter. Call not returned.

I believe it is someone who called the wrong number. I got a caller on my mobile. I have my number for more than 10 years. I think she misdialled from her phone. She asked for Gemma. I just said there is no Gemma and she got the wrong number. I can't say if this is a trick or not.
