They want you to press "1" so gawd knows what that does - link you into an expensive Ling Distance call or something. Someone is determined to get money from you, I don't fully understand how but they wouldn't be in this for nothing! I fail to understand why the police or BT can't DO something about it!!!

SCAM called offering for my business to be featured in a publication which will highlighting legitimate local businesses and rogue traders (hopefully I fall into the former). Asked if I'd like to be featured as their "(my profession) of the year" for a fee, when I questioned it they hung up. Initially claimed to be from a crime monitoring unit, which was odd since they called from a mobile number.

Got called today by a female with a Scouse voice stating that she was form "Fresh Contacts" and asking if I am been in an accident. Funnily enough (and the truth, but may use this excuse even so if it changes for me) I don t drive, so I told her this and then she proceeded to ask if I had been a passenger in an accident or if I had been on public transport. Allegedly from Amazon telling me my transaction for £ 1400 + had been stopped and inviting me to contact them in the call. I do not have any outstanding purchases from Amazon for £1400 or anything actually so put phone down and blocked the number.
