SCAM Rang my work number saying they were BT (not our provider) and said our router was Comprimised. Knowing it was a scam, I played along to waste their time. They tried to get me to connect to what would undoubtedly look similar to a BT site to then connect my PC to the site. They got bored of us trying to keep them on the line so they didn't scam some OAP. They gave up and hungup.

I have searched this number on another site and there have been many searches and reports. The calls are hostile. When information not given they swear and terminate the call. I had call from this number today and answer machine picked up. No message. I m glad I didn t take the call as would have been upset at the hostility. Scam or fishing. Guy calls regularly, including public holidays! Sometimes hangs up when you say Hello; other times informs you he s conducting market research. I ve been advised by a friend who had similar calls that telling him his number has been flagged as a telepest, calls are being monitored and that unsolicited calls are subject to hefty fines gets rid of him pretty darn quick.
