Supposedly a company called Direct Legal, claimed to want to talk to me about compensation for an accident. A quick google search reveals they are a debt collection agency based in Buckley, even though the phone number has a Glasgow area code.

Caller spoke in foreign language, took for attempts before he spoke in English then said it was Alex calling from BT Openreach about my internet connection. I told him it wasn?t BT then he swore profusely then hung up.

The directors of the company making the calls are: Paul Lord (home address: 46a Nowell Road, Middleton, Manchester, M24 6FL) and Richard Cooper (home address: 6 Reed Close, Farnworth, Bolton, BL4 7EF). Phoned today "from EE to discuss my broadband"....but is definitely NOT Orange/EE(have checked with them), so just put the phone down if this number calls you!

They have no legal basis to chase most debts but they lie and say they have. Best ignore them, say nothing and hang up.
