Called our Ex-directory, TPS registered number. A man of our house answered the phone and the caller hung up without speaking. Reported to OFCOM as an abandoned call using the form here: https://ofcomforms.secure.force.com/formentry/SitesFormCCTSilentCalls

This number rang me today. I was not convinced this marketing call was legit. I simply stated I was not interested. He continued to start to ask personal details e.g are you a home owner? I stated again I was not interested in answering his questions and I then put the phone down. Remember people, You Are In Control Of Your Phone!!!!!! If you re unsure if the call is legit, simple hang up!!!! Do not give out any personal info to a stranger that has phoned you.

If this really is HSBC s fraud dept they are staggeringly incompetent and l am by no means convinced that it is. Question of whether there has been fraud on my account remains unsolved - l was unable to give the exact year that l opened my account - approx 40 years ago - and so failed my telephone security check . May be genuine, but they asked me to repeat the same information re my account so many times that l was suspicious, and would urge caution
