"Max" tel.no. 01292388212 called my house phone and asked for me by surname. I didn't confirm. He then told me that I didn't have cover for central heating. I said I have his number and will check with the fraud squad before following up. I then politely hung up. Maybe a legitimate cold call; but I wasn't interested to find out.
Called but left no messages but just a dial tone and Phone was connected until my answer machine was full I then have to unplug my phone before it works again and I can delete the empty message, annoying arseholes now blocked.

Domestic and General asking me if I wanted to have breakdown cover for my fridge freezer and cooker as well as my washing machine ( which I currently have). A bit insistent when I said no, and asked why so when I said ‘because I don’t want to’ she ended the call. It was quite a friendly manner but as above, quite pushy. Missed call Rang me x 2 on WhatsApp but didn’t leave a message. Strange that although my phone was right by my side it never actually rang, so must assume it’s a scam of some sort as the number should be 01 something if it’s a land line in the UK or 07 something if mobile in the UK.

Woman said they had information that I was in a car accident that was not my fault. I asked who was calling. Ignored that and repeated accident stuff. Told her I had never been in a car accident. She hung up!

They've been harassing me every night from similar numbers for almost a week now. I answered the call on the second ring - sounded like an automated call - I heard the word Chinese but everything else was gobbledegook to me. I hung up as I assume its another scammer.
This number, an automated woman's voice, called my landline today and purported to be the bank saying that they're checking a £600 payment from my bank account to somewhere abroad. Claims he works for a company called UK Tariff that finds out if you're paying too much for your broadband or finds better deals. Thing is this so called company harasses with calls like 24/7 from different numbers most of the day. Hoping you're gullible enough to get to the part where you hand over your bank details. Best way is to report and block if it flags as spam.
