Called regarding a Road Traffic Accident that happened. They knew my name, my insurer, my vehicle make/model and the date of the accident. The caller said they were getting feedback on my insurer and was particularly interested in personal injury and whether it was settled. Most likely a discrete attempt at fishing for a potential personal injury claim.

Even though I m TPS registered I keep getting calls (often many times a day) from the same company leaving the message "Everyone now also qualifies for solar panels and external wall insulation. Same as all below. Also rang back for a laugh. Spoke to Florence Berry. She became very abusive when it was obvious we had seen through her. She also rang back and left very offensive message on the answerphone and tried to leave the line open so we couldn't use the phone.

When I asked who was calling, she replied with the company name, which I didn t catch, and that it was in connection with our washing machine warranty. Our machine is about 14 years old, so the warranty ran out years ago! Number now blocked.

The man who called addressed me by my correct first name and surname, and claimed he wanted to discuss the (fictitious) road accident I was supposedly involved in "recently." He hung up when pressed for specific details.
