Answered the phone . Heard background noises so hit call blocker button.Don t know how but it then rang on our extension phone. I ran downstairs and again no response. I hit the call blocker unit and successful came up. I am also on TPS scheme but the call blocker has been a Godsend as this is the only call that got through this month so recommend Call blockers which block International, 200 built in known blocks and all with held numbers.What a nuisance these people are.

Safe number Is actually an Indian guy calling who refers you to O2 who sign you up for their Sim Only deal. Shame they have a dodgy-sounding Indian guy getting them customers, because it makes O2 look dodgy. FYI: I have received all genuine emails and contract info from O2 and... I received my SIM! 100% legit (apart from the guy calling millions of numbers from India hoping to get someone to say yes so he can earn his referral commission from O2!).

Called our company asking for the branch manager to carry out a survey on energy contracts & customer satisfaction. Told him it s all decided through head office so our branch manager wouldn t deal with it. He then asked if he could call back at a more convenient time, (obviously didn t listen to a word i d just told him!) at which point i told him no he couldn t call back at a more convenient time, no thank you & hung up on him. Logged him on our nuisance call list to be blocked by our telecoms company
SCAM - claiming to be from O2 offering a 30% discount, will try to get you to read a security code from a text message that specifically says "Do not give this to anyone, including O2 staff"

The directors of the company making the calls are: Paul Lord (home address: 46a Nowell Road, Middleton, Manchester, M24 6FL) and Richard Cooper (home address: 6 Reed Close, Farnworth, Bolton, BL4 7EF). Claimed to be from some charity representing Noah’s Ark charity. Started going through the script about Covid, strange times, struggling for funds etc. Before he got the point where he asked me for a donation, I told him that If I wanted to donate to a charity of my choice, I would do it myself. I would not be doing it over the phone to a complete stranger claiming to from a charity. Probably a scam.

I just received a missed call from this number and a automated voicemail. They stated they were HMRC and that I had an open action against my National Insurance number that needed immediate action, or will result in my NI number being suspended. These people have been calling my mobile a lot. I answered on the second call today and a girl told me she was from Albany Assured. I asked what she was calling about and she said something about a claim on my car insurance due to an accident (she knew my full name). That s all I needed to hear to know the call was a load of nonsense because I don t drive and have never even had a license. When I said I didn t drive she said "but have you in the last 2 years?" And that s when I said I ve never had a license

Someone claiming to be from O2 but I don t believe him because he acted like a weirdo -asking me if I was over 18, and when I said I don t have the time to talk to you, he said - so you re under 18 then, and hung up on me. Perhaps they are scouting for 18 year olds? (Weird) Perhaps they are mad. Perhaps they are scammers. But they are definitely not polite or professional so I doubt O2 would have such representatives. Number blocked.

SCAM Automated call claiming that my NI number has been used in a number of suspicious transactions.
Just told me that they were calling from HMRC and a fraud had been registered under my name and to press 1. I did not do so and when I try to call back it will not connect. I suspect a scam.

Scam. Said they were from sky and I may have offers, tried to get me to have fibre broadband. I stupidly gave my address, email etc. Just contacted sky & it appears that it’s not one of their numbers. There’s a recording if you ring the number back that does say it’s a recording on behalf of sky. Just be careful not to give any details.

Sounds like a busy call centre in the background a female asked for my wife I said shes not in, shes at work, can I help you? so they just hung up with no type of explanation. Arrogant and obviously up to something they haven t got time to talk about.
