TAXES / HMRC they called me today and told me something about tax and to avoid jail time, it wasn't even a proper answering machine it sounded like the Google translate voice, I tried calling them back later this afternoon and said their number is invalid. Female, Asian accent. Stated name was Crystal. Calling from BT(?) The internet connection to the property would be cut-off in 48 hours unless a PC procedure was followed as per instructions. The reason given - Cyber criminals were using an open port on a PC to distribute malware. Upon stating I thought Firewall protected the PC from such abuse, the call was dropped. I'm presuming this is a scam with intent to gain access to BT account info & PC data.
