Automated message with American accent stating HMRC have sent me a letter and are starting court proceedings against me and to press 1 to speak with someone. I have checked with HMRC and this is a known scam.

claims to be from some HR company mumbled refused to say what it was they actually wanted. We are a small charity and the person dealing with HR not in & I explained I wasn't willing to pass details on unless they told me what their company actually wanted/did still just mumbled his own name & insisted he'd ring back. Call centre noise in background.

A lady called saying she was from Microsoft saying my computer is being hacked. Wanted me to turn on my computer told her no way . I believe this is a scam.
I answered but said nothing. Caller then went into prepared speech.......local energy advisor, assume you're the homeowner etc., etc. I ended the call, called back and the number was invalid.

It is one digit different from 01226666737, Gamma Telecom Holdings Ltd calling with a driveway scam that has been pestering my home number recently and may be the same. Claim to be from BT Openreach about issues with our router. Shame we’re not with that company. She kept insisting that even though we weren’t with them she needed to tell us about these issues with her router. When I challenged her about the fact that it was a scam and how could she live with herself and that BT had nothing to do with our router and couldn’t see our router she stuck to her guns that she was legit and needed to tell us what was happening with our router. I just hung up.
