on 22 june the above number 0161 8735544 rang my son and said that an amount of ?1500.00 was waiting to be claimed fir whiplash for a accident he had in 2009 foulishly he gave them details including his mobile phone number and said they will ring him on monday 25th june to follow this up. I have rang this number as i suspected it was some sort of scam and what a surprise the number disconnects when u ring it.I would like to know how they got our landline number when we are ex directory and registered with

I ve been getting calls from this number every two days for a couple of weeks at varying times of day. I haven t answered them so I don t know who it is, but I suspect it s a sales call.

Another one trying it on - saying you had a car accident not your fault. I told them I didn t drive. Bloody nuisances.

It s the right format for a UK premium rate number, usually for TV and radio competitions and phone-ins.

Hung up when answerphone cut in.

Pretty sure call was from Sky. Was able to verify person was from sky by asking them information about my account and login on to the online mysky portal and verifying it (correct information about how long I'd been a customer, what my package was, when my direct debit went out and how much it was discounted). Was a phone call to try and upsell products.

claimed to be from credit agency offering to right off part of my credit via a government scheme, said he got the information from my creditors. asked him which creditors he got the information from just hung up.

rang me 2 days ago asking me to complete a survey based on services I had used before, I politely asked for them to remove me from their contact list and they hung up. had another call from them again today, lady was very rude, told me that if I completed the survey I would not be contacted again. Had 3 calls today, answered third call. Man said my computer kept sending info to their computer and he would help sort it out. He was trying to get me to hand over access to my computer to him - told him where to get off.

Regal fish are a great ompany - and I have ordered off them many times. They do not cold call - they always check if OK to do the follow up call when next in the area. I am over 500 miles from Grimsby - they deliver all over the UK - fresh.

SPAM SCAM ? Virtually inaudible call from what sounded like an call centre in India, claiming to be from "O2 Network", offering something that sounded like "30% contract". Line was so bad I had to hang up.
