Called, said they were from our bank. Said there were two withdrawals of substantial amounts that seemed out of character for us. Then said they needed to go through security questions. I hung up, called the bank and it's another scam.

SCAM I have this afternoon received a telephone call purporting to be National Grid Meter Department and confirming a date and time to change meter as they said it was over charging. Suggested a refund available since last year of £652.23 Offered a booking slot and advised the new meter number as E14UP04L89. Message arrived over WhatsApp - I guess it's now the platform of choice for scammers, as bulk SMS costs money? Suspicious "hi, hope you are doing well" received, and nothing else. I'd suggest do not reply, not even to ask "who is this?", as it's likely a scam. If it was somebody I knew, I'd expect them to use my name and/or identify themselves if they can see we haven't communicated before.

They rang saying it was the Inland Revenue and that I had ignored letters and owed money and to press 1 to speak to their operative which I did not do. I blocked the number. I am a pensioner with heart problems so not impressed. It was a recorded message which sounded robotic - hope this helps and hope you can take it down. I've reported it to Inland Revenue via their on line form.

Extremely foreign individual - fairly incomprehensible!! Apparently advising refund due from BT, although quoting call as being from Sky. Asking for bank account to which the refund should be made.

This is a Bedford number so it will be the scammers at J Talk pretending to be your BT manager. Somehow got my personal mobile number but when told the time of day he rang the company number immediately. BT, how do these people obtain private details, someone must be passing them on?

Amazon scammer. Told me someone hacked my Amazon account and ordered a £754 iPhone. Sent me a code in a text and asked for this code. No order showed on my Amazon account nor got a confirmation email. He got impatient with me when I said that I don't trust him and asked how I can know if he's not trying to scam me. He hung up.

Received call from Automated message claiming to be HMRC chasing TAX and would start legal action soon if nothing is received, press 1 to speak to an officer. Checked HMRC, portal, email and letters and nothing wrong. Appears to be a scam but cannot confirm due to HMRC not working Saturdays :/

Fraud Call - I got a called from this number saying they were from O2 and offering me a 40% discount on my bill. They said I would receive a code from them and to read it out to them. I got 2 messages from O2 saying I had requested a security code and not to give the code to anyone and if I suspected fraud to call 202. The lady got really aggressive when I said I wouldn't give her the code as O2 shouldn't need the code. When I said I would check if this was ok she gave me another number to call to verify -
