SCAM Called my landline at 15.01 on 1 June - female voice saying something like "I am the supervisor for this area "and something about an attic ... I asked her to slow down as I could not hear her properly - she went on talking very quickly and when I said "Stop and tell me what you are talking about" She then seemed to bang the phone down.

SPAM This number is from a batch of similar numbers: 07488871703. 07488871758, 07488871735, 07488871757, 07488871649, 07488871624, 07488871560. Many have been missed calls and the rest I let ring out. I rang back and they all have had an answering machine with the same female voice putting me in a queue and at no point saying who they are. Whoever they are, they have the ability to have or create many numbers. They get blocked and move onto another number and call back.
Some foreign sounding person with a croaky voice, calling about a motor "accident compensation", claiming to be acting on behalf of the "Motor Insurance Bureau".... Tell them Nothing... I Asked them to tell me the date of the "accident" and the Registration number of vehicles involved... They then hung up immediately... Obviously Phishing for information.... ????.

When I would not say yes or no and just kept asking who was calling, she said well you can piss off! and put the phone down on me. Called from Citizens advice group. I questioned the male caller with a south Asian accent in some detail. He was very helpful. They were calling about debts and he asked what debts we had. I asked him where they got our number and he replied FCA ????????????. I then asked him for the person or department name as I have previously worked with FCA in the past, he didn’t give it to me. He was very polite and said he couldn’t continue. He also said they weren’t authorised in the UK!
