I received a call from Motorpal today Telephone number 029 2036 4211 , they wanted me to pay £1 for vouchers to be sent then alarm bells rang so I did some checking and found this site. I have asked them to call back tomorrow as I said I did not have my card to hand lol. I will be giving the details of the caller to the fraud squad tomorrow and contacting my local MP after the general election . Didn’t take the call on my landline but they left a pre recorded message informing me that my card had been used in a foreign transaction twenty minutes before and that I should press 1 to stop it. I rang the number from my mobile a couple of times and each time got the busy tone. I reckon it’s a poor attempt at a scam.
This company?s number shows up on caller ID but when you call back it says number not recognised. When I did answer to them they said they were checking that we were not getting any nuisance calls, I said we were not until they called and then they hung up.

This company calls me persistently, today I have had 3 calls, even though their number is blocked on my mobile and their calls are instantly disconnected. Scammer - picks a common name (like Julie) and if you know one (as I do) they pretend Julie has a new number and tell you to delete the old number. Then they ask you to send the details i.e. names and numbers of everyone you both know - so they can be scammed (and they will as the scammers will then have names. I sent them details of Mickey Mouse, Donald Trump and the Queen. DO NOT GIVE YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS NUMBERS OUT
