SCAM Only one person calls me on my landlinge and that's my brother but somehow it seems to have been circulated to scammers and/or on the dark web. This number called on my landline (getting lots from lots of false numbers for months now) and it was a silent call. I called it from my mobile (number withheld) and it wasn't a recognised number. Has to be dangerous!

Immediate hang-up. From entries on other sites anyone who manages to answer gets a silent/dead line. Exactly 24 hours laters calls begin claiming to be whatever mobile provider your voicemail said you were with (fake dealer scam). Clearly this line is being used to find out who you're with for slightly more convincing fake mobile provider scam calls. SCAM

Caller says you've suspicious transactions on your card, knows your name and last four digits of the card. Asks you to check the balance, in my case without any security questions. Hung up on me and didn't call me back when I told him I keep very little in the account, whilst I was silently checking the account in the background. This is a new, and weird, one for me. Called my landline but disconnected when I picked up (now they know this is a live number,,,damn!!). No message left so I'll never know if I have been left millions of pounds from an unknown benefactor who needs me to handle his money, for a small fee, to help them evade paying local taxes or being claimed by a fictional Government department.

TAXES / HMRC SCAM - Received a call from this number. Recorded message informing me that a letter from HMRC had been returned and therefore proceedings are going to be issued against me. I was instructed to press '1' to speak to an advisor but I hung up instead and reported the call to ICO.org.uk. I am hoping that this is not somebody's private number being cloned.
