Woman with bad English reading from a script. Said she was from british gas and wanted us to give our postcode, account number and meter number. We said no and she said she would ring back. Obviously a dodgy call centre as other people have said other companies and reasons for the call! BLOCKED!!

This number is used by scammers. My experience is that they advised me that my PayPal account had been used suspiciously, and invited me to call this number and get the supposed transaction cleared. What made this so dangerous, was the fact that they used the Paypal site giving this number to contact to resolve the problem. Very cute, they nearly caught me, but they asked too many questions about bank accounts, which set the alarm bells ringing. Asked why, the call was terminated.

Received txt from 01908 238013 asking me to call 03308 084 562 with a reference No., saying I'd set up a payment for Mrs C Davidson £850 scheduled for today 20/02/2022 @ 19:15. Txt came in @ 16:07 Info from- http://www.call-charges.co.uk/03308-premium-rate-phone-numbers#one Calls from landlines are typically charged between 2p and 10p per minute; calls from mobiles typically cost between 10p and 40p per minute, but they can set the rate at whatever they like. Just delete it. Don't call them back!

NB: WHY would a GLOBAL company be calling me from same Area Code!? Probably to panic people into giving out personal details (ie Bank info)!!! Man with strong Indian accent calling himself "Daniel", claiming to be calling from "Microsoft Encarta" and saying that hackers had infected my PC, so he'd need access to it. A complete criminal scam. I told him I needed to go and get my computer, then left him waiting for ages until he eventually hung up. Number now blocked & reported to ICO.

01223931099 rang with a very loud background noise proporting to be a call centre. The caller, with a strong foreign accent, alleged he was from sky refund centre; however, when I said ok in a less than enthusiastic manner, the caller hung up. This is most unlike any sky call centre I have experienced. I suspect it to be a scam.
