Person with an Asian accent (after a delay) introducing himself as Peter Thompson purporting to be from BT claimed someone in America was using my IP address and accessing emails . Asked what devices I was using to access the internet. The scammer wasn t afraid to argue back aggressively when I told him in no uncertain terms I knew this was an attempt to hack in to the internet.

Keeps calling but leaves no message. When I answer they hang up straight away.

I have received several calls to my mobile from this number recently. If I don t answer the phone, they don t leave a message and when I do answer it the caller appears to hang up. I am wandering if it is SPAM or a wrong number (but surely if the latter they would have left a message for someone else or spoken to me and discovered the error). I ve noticed several Manchester numbers being associated with unwanted calls to EE customers and wonder if this number is also being used by the same people/company.

Very annoying. They hang up when I say hello, but leave no message if my voicemail takes the call. A pain!

This company is very aggressive and uses several tactics purporting to be an energy supplier or meter registration dept. They are energy consultants without qualms and trying to scare end users into agreeing a contract over the phone by saying that they are on extortionate out of contract rates, etc. Best way to deal with these people is to say you have signed a long-term contract and therefore not interested in their services. Date 16-12-19 10-40 am. Automated call said he was from BT. Wanted me 2 press button 1 to get technical help. Claimed my broadband would shut down. I did Not cll back as I could hav been charged money. Looks like a scam to me.

9 calls in 2 weeks even with the number logged on the call blocker and they still get through with this irritating massage about a supposed SMS message which can’t be recovered. Whoever this is needs shooting ! I eventually called BT and asked them to block the number from ever reaching me.
