My brother got a call from this number asking for a gas meter reading. He was not sure where the caller was from but a 1471 and internet search brought up this number as belonging to British Gas. However I am not with British Gas but with Southern Electric, for at least the last 6 years. I called Southern Electric who said they did not call for any reading and would not do so. Woman phoned asking if I was Miss (my girlfriend s name) I m not the butchest of guys but I don t sound like a woman.... Very heavily accented Indian accent, also appalling sound quality with lots of noise in the background. When I asked who it was from, she mumbled something about PPI at which point I put the phone down.

Another nuisance number that rings me now & then. I never pick up. Why don`t they realise that they never get an answer from me. We live in a world of IDIOTS. About time they found another line of work.

Does relate to an account setup. It s a company relates to crypto and it s a courtesy call. Caller is actually in Cyprus not London Dodgy number but thanks BT for allowing such things legal but misleading. Call genuine.

caller wanted to make an appointment for replacing central heating boiler system which he said we had to participate in as we had been selected. Load of rubbish and cut caller off.

These people who purport to be from the UK Trade Register keep calling me on variations of the 020 3409 .... numbers and each time they call I tell them I m now ill (its not going to get better!!) and block the number. But they won t listen. The guy today just talked over me, ignored my comments and pleas to be left alone and continued bombard and talk over me. I eventually hung up. There must be something we can do to stop this sort of harassment.
