They do swallow.
I have just received a phone call on my home phone from this number. a voice (American i think) informed me they were from Amazon and that my payment of £39.99 would be taken . If I wanted to stop payment I would have to press a number on my phione keypad. I disconnected immediately and looked up the number on Google and came to this site.
Asked if I worked in industry and had a hearing problem. Hung up at that point!
I get this call sometimes 5 times a week, morning 9.30 and 1.00. Do not respond to anyone who calls you, that you do not know... There are plenty of scammers about.

Very annoying telemarketing who range several times across two days trying to sell energy solutions. They hung up each time as soon as I said I was registered with TPS.
Automated call supposedly from office for NI contributions saying they had noted fraudulent activity on my NI number in Wales. They wanted me to press button 1 before they commenced legal action. I couldn't find button 1 before they hung up. Oh dear.

SCAM SPAM Fraud Got a call on 21/08/2023 at 11:51 from this number. A woman was trying to tell me i have some offer from three. When i asked her if she is a scammer as i am not with three, she put down the phone instantly. When i call back the number, it just beeps two times and go off. They are scammers for sure! Be aware!

Much like the other reviews, my 83 year old Grandmother was called and told the warranty on her boiler had run out and that they needed to take payment to renew it. No explanation of who they were etc. Reported it as fraud to her bank but also called to cancel policy and ask for full refund. Worried now that this may not be honoured after reading other posts.
