I have just received a message to txt back and confirm if I still need pain managment appoitment. I have contacted NHS directly and they confirmed that this is a valid txt message coming from them.
This is likely to be a robot caller looking for legitimate numbers so they can harvest them for telemarketing. They know its a valid number when you answer it

Call center Claimed to be from Curry's pc world asking what phone and contract I had. Asked him how he got my number as I don't give my number out to anyone apart from family and work and he immediately hung up. Be wary.
Claims to be "your bank" but doesn't name it or give your name, says that 700 pounds has gone to amazon then 2000 to an international payment, it wants you to press numbers, its a scam.

Cold-phoned us claiming to be current suppliers of ours, but I'd never heard their name before. Sounded a bit suspect.
Recorded message about an expired Amazon Prime subscription and subsequent charge. Then asks you to press 1 or 2 for further details. Possible scam.

No name given. He said he was working for Amazon and needed to track down who had ordered 2 mobile phones from Amazon using my bank details (which he had) but had arranged to be delivered to an address that was not mine. To do this he wanted me to go into my bank app and arrange a transfer of £5000 to an account for which he provided and which my bank cleared as existing. I went along with it up to the point of transfer and he then became pressing and agitated.

Just kept repeating his name and same phrase and not answering questions. If this is actually a real call it’s a weird way of going about things. Apparently this number is safe but I don't know anyone in Glasgow. As tax returns reached their deadline last night, and as this is from Glasgow, I wondered if someone was trying to tell me I owed tax as a scam. But I've read that you get official letters if this is the case. Maybe it was a wrong number.

"Two debits to your ???? account, one £300 from Amazon, the other from an overseas authority... both look suspicious, press 1 to approve payment, or 2 to talk to us". Caller did not identify who was calling
