Someone called from this number. Couldn't make out the company name. Asked who it was. They couldn't hear me properly and hung up. Probably telemarketers. Just be aware.

The case has been reported to the police and would be brought before a magistrate. "Press 1 to speak to a HMRC agent", Obviously I didn't. This country has some of the most advanced telecomms technology in the world. WHY can't the authoriries (Police, BT, the Regulator) take down these numbers?

Abusive Scammers, Indian sounding, pretending to be an internet service provider. When I told him we don't volunteer personal information over the phone he said "F**k You" and hung up. When will the government do something about this, it's been going on for years.

Probable Fraud/Scam - Heavily Indian accented female called Rachel called me purporting to be working for Microsoft at the Reading Campus. Claimed there was a problem with my computer and "bad people were using it for bad things on the internet". Told me she would deactivate my computer if I didn't do what she said. Got quite rude when I told her I didn't believe her. Stalled her for 5 minutes before she hung up on me.

It was to do with my banking contract to help improve my banking package deal ie IF you pay for a premium banking service IE Lloyds Gold where in paying a monthly fee for your account they offer you various insurance packages the twit who phoned me was trying to tell me he was going to improve on my current offer!! Think that this is a scam text claiming to be from Vodafone. As when Vodafone normally contact me there is no telephone number from where the text is from.
