Received SMS pretending to be HMRC saying I was due a rebate. Included a link to website where, it said, I could verify my identity. I did not follow the link, of course. Reported to Action Fraud as phishing attempt.

SCAM Insurance scam... tell them about your accident and they will get extra money for you from the third party insurance... Pushy and called from two different numbers... I hung up on first and they called from different location. Claim they are registered, but the compnay was dissolved in 2021, could not provdie website or further ifformation about when they compnay was set up.

Persistent even if you dial 9 at the end of the message to unsubscribe. Thinks it can get around the TPS laws by pretending to be information service. Just touting to sell rubbish boilers and rip of the government for grant money. NEVER deal with these types.

These F I s called me 3 times today, were given a chance to leave a message each time. They did not. Despite registration with the TPS, I had two cold calls about an alleged car accident in which I was involved but I do not own a car and certainly was not involved in an accident on the date claimed. The caller claimed to be from a company called Solicitors Law Firm and to have got details of my alleged accident from the UK National Traffic Department but as far as I can ascertain neither organisation exists. They witheld their phone number but claimed to be calling from 01527 821239.

I never answer if a number is unknown to me and don't know the area code, I get so many calls from unknown numbers every day and if it was important they would leave a voice mail, they always hang up as voice mail kicks in, every time in the past I answered it was always telemarketing, number is now in my block box.
