Fraud They said I had £87K in a cryptocurrency account with them ('Blockchain Support') I've never invested in crypto, so it must be some sort of phishing scam. I think they got my name and number via the June 2023 data breech at BBC etc.
This is a scam line purporting to be BT telling you your broadband has been compromised.

Caller claimed to be from the Green Advice Centre. Might be legit, but I was in the middle of something, so just said that I didn't have time to talk. My number is registered with TPS and this was an unsolicited call.

Lady said she was calling from Review centre -I ended the call saying I had no knowledge of review centre.
This number seems to be reported as Virgin Bank, Clysesdale Bank and lots of other banks, including Yorkshire Bank (as shown on my phone) my I don't have a Yorkshire Bank account. So I am very suspicious of this number, how can it be for many different banks?! I think it's spam!

This landline rang us this morning with a recorded message trying to tell us our Amazon account had been hacked. Obviously ignore as all our accounts are in order. Clearly a scammer, more worrying that it is on a local landline!
Claimed to be from Carphone warehouse, not convinced Carphone warehouse would employ a tele-sales person who spoke poor English though. Persisted to try to sell me an iPhone 14 even though I told him from the start I already owned one !!!! If this gentleman really was calling from Leeds and given its an obvious scam then I do worry about his right to be living in the UK.

SCAM A female agent called me with Mobile Phone = 07428693956 at 12:02 pm identifying themselves as BT Customer Services and Security. They said their engineer was working on the line and detected an extra IP address registered at my location. Now BT customer services never ring outbound on a mobile, plus IP addresses are allotted by the router and not by the user. Called today. Not English. Told caller I was not interested but he kept talking, then I asked how he got my number, he then said don’t you raise your voice to me sir, I then got quite rude to him, to which I now regret , but he kept on talking so I hung up and barred his number.
