Indian caller said he was from the Department of Health and asked to speak to a certain person when told it was the wrong person he confirmed the number and asked who he was speaking to as I was suspicious of a scam it told him it didn’t matter as I was not the person he wanted then hung up

Received a call from Smart Media advising our business had paid for their services to list on Google Maps in July 2019. Complete bull as payment has never been made to this company (or anything similar), the date simply is when our business was incorporated so freely available information. Recorded announcement with american accent saying something about "this call is coming to you" so hung up as I've had this one before from another number reported here. Why would you get a real recorded announcement from a mobile number???
Thankyou, I had not recorded the fact that I had dialled this number, I shall now keep it for future reference.
As I answered, the phone call cut off. Tried calling the number back via 1471 and it didn't exist!
I will generally give to any good cause,however I don t care who they are, how close to my heart (no pun intended) the charity is, when they call 16 times in 24 hours, the only thing I will be giving them is a very loud high pitched siren next time they call!!
