SCAM Fraud Banking Firstly, a test message was received on a mobile saying it was the Fraud department of a Credit Card company and they would be calling about “recent activity from your card. Expect a call from our Fraud team. Please wait for our call”. That was followed 2mins later by a phone call to the same mobile number saying it was from 02071934897 (London). Not a number associated with a Credit Card company! The male caller asked for the additional card holder by name but hadn’t called that person

I m generally pretty careful giving out my details but for some reason this time wasn t. The company called me I was given a name John Quinn and they seemed to have alot of my details already and were very pleasant. But looking back they were desperate to get my details and evasive of giving an actual amount. They promised me an email the same day and a call at 15.30. Neither of which I got.
