This number rang my Mobile which is only know to a few people. I was told it was HMRC and if i didn't send some paper work i would be liable to prosecution. Told to press option one to speak to some one did so and the person on the end said something like thank you for calling !!!! didn't understand the last bit. I commented I didn't call you did, it then went quiet. I hung up. Both voices were certainly not UK English in speakers. Don't trust this phone number think it's a scam

Someone claiming to be from "Tenancy Deposit Helpline" asking if we have a private tenancy deposit. Asked where they got our details from, they said from the Tenancy Deposit Scheme, I said surely they'd know if we had a private deposit if that was where they got out details. He hung up.

scammer pretends to be o2 gets aggressive when questioned
Called regarding our website domain, called himself Luke from PDM. Asked to speak to whoever set up the domain, told him that it was set up a long time ago and I wasn't sure but that I could help. He ignored that and asked to speak to the MD, I advised him I wouldn't pass him through to the MD for such a query and that I could help at which point he hung up. At best a rude salesperson, at worse a scam. I can't find any information relating to them online so most likely the latter, best to avoid.

Trusted to answer as it's a number local to me. Turned out to be an automated message claiming to be from VISA payments to say that my card had been charged £300 to Amazon and £1100 to Western Union, encouraged me to press 1 to dispute charges. Scammer with automated message stating it was my bank.. Claimed a transfer of £600 had been blocked to western union and asking me to dial 1 to connect to an operator. I hung up as I don't even have £600 and checked with my online banking for any alerts. Nothing there.
Apparently going to help me save money on my bills. Scammers. Clues - Indian sounding person, call centre where you can barely hear what they are saying, when you ask them to repeat they say something different. I have a particularly loud whistle, they soon hang up...
