The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. "Brian" called from this number. He called me last week from a different mobile (which I blocked) introducing himself as "Barry". I recognised his voice and told him to jog on (words to that effect) so he didn t have the opportunity to tell me again that he was calling on behalf of a creditor who was threatening to take legal action regarding insufficient loan repayments. This No. is used by Community Call Prevention - a company that claims to reduce unwanted calls. All they do is charge you a monthly fee to register you on the free TPS register This company is a part of the problem, not the solution. They have been told many times to stop calling & that all percieved "permissions" to call have been recinded. They say, each time, that the previous operator didn't action the request properly and promise it is fixed now...
