nno message left and when I used 1471 I was told the number calling was 01803 752342

They called twice today 11:25 & 16:04. The second time that they called I answered and they hung up

Obviously a (badly) spoofed number. London numbers don't start with (020) 1xx, only 020 3xx, 020 7xx, and 020 8xx.

Just called again. This time just said internet provider. Had to press one to connect to technician. Put the phone down and reported them to Action Fraud. Also to my internet provider.

Does anyone know who the caller is,? my gut instinct says its a scammer from overseas as for it to be from a uk land-line there would need to be another digit in the second part...

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. No sound after repeatedly answering "Hello??" after 10 secs heard garbled nonsense and the line went dead. Tried calling back had 20 secs of silence and no ring tone.
