Returned this call to find out more because it is not listed in any database of who called me numbers. Got a message machine that said mailbox 876, recording and then simply instructions for leaving your recorded message. I see that there have been 135 searches for this number as of 24 Jan 2017, but no results. Very odd.
I was expecting a call from an unknown number (had an interview yesterday) so when I missed the call from this number I rang back. They are selling insurance! Nuisance callers - avoid!
This is a scam. They phoned me on my (not a smart) mobile. An automated American voice stated they were from HMRC informing me that I owed money and they were sending the dept collectors around. To discuss this matter further and settle the debt I should press; 1. Problem is, I did my Tax Return in April and don't owe any tax. I've not owed tax for years. It s a prank call number, widely reported on other sites. 0870 numbers are premium rate, so don t call it back.
Sounds like a call centre of some description. Asked the caller to ring me back when there wasn't 3 or 4 other people talking louder than him sounding like they're sat...

Just got my first one from this number this morning. Before I had chance to open they hung up. Glad I found some info before thinking about ringing them back. I don t know why the authorities don t ban people/companies who do this (i.e. dial and hang up so they will get paid by people trying to call back)
Have readout and log of incoming call,never answer unless they are on my saved list and can be identified, Give a check later on here. Always block so they can never ring back.
