This is a Bit Coin SCAM .The odd number originates from the U.S. toll free system .This means the recipient pays for the call not the initiator .Beware very dangerous.
Not sure what this was about. I answered and it went silent then someone said hello, knew my email address. Something about a transfer payment being stuck and verifying my data in regards to ID fraud. I had an echo on the line, couldn't hear properly. Caller had strong accent, possibly French. Asked them to call back in 20 mins by which time I would be home and hopefully no echo. They didn't call back. Potentially a scam call in itself? Call center

An urgent verbal message on a loop advising me that Trojan software had been active on my system and that I should not switch off and should phone this number which I did - they said they were Microsoft (a residential number!?) The person wanted me to hold down the Windows and 'R' keys so that he could correct the problem. I asked him if that enabled him to take control of my machine and he then put the phone down. It seems as though this could be a nuisance caller. My husband and I have both had calls from this number today, on our mobiles, while on holiday in France. It's slightly worrying, as we have many friends and relatives in the Manchester area. Our phones silence any unknown numbers but as no voicemail messages were left we are assuming the calls weren't important.
This number calls and claims to be investors. Very rude individuals who call and push you to invest and they are so rude when you decline. They keep changing numbers but it is the same network of people - they are using different numbers to call - I have already blocked at least 10 other numbers they have used to contact me- stay well clear of them please!! If anyone has any idea how to stop them from calling please advise.
Could well be a scam. They send a link through Dropoff Services asking for name and address details and asking for £2.99 by Visa or Mastercard to deliver an unknown parcel. Warning Be aware Scam l think They have texed me 6 days in a row !
