Fraud: Bank scam. Suggests they are from your bank (but they don't tell you which one because they don't know) Informs you by automated call that large transfers have been made out of your account (which is rubbish). They hope you will be daft enough to talk to them so they can obtain your bank details. Why the Police and Telephone companies still allow these fraudsters to operate it beyond me.

FRAUD SCAM!! This was an automated message initially asking if I'd authorised a payment for £600 to overseas. Transferred to a human who said the payment on your visa debit card, I asked which card, she replied your visa debit. I asked again which card, was told from your bank. Which bank? The bank you authorised the payment from. I said I have several banks so which one. She replied Halifax bank, when I said I don't bank with Halifax she hung up on me. Be careful folks!

I called the number on the invoice from PayPal, a man with a thick indian accent answered & struggled to speak good English to explain himself. He asked me for the invoice number & said that a purchase was made IN MY NAME although my opening remarks were 'I don't have a PayPal account but I received an email requesting payment for a purchase' - when I asked him 'what's my name?' he hung up! This is an actual real firm's number. But the number has been taken over by some scammer who is contacting random people. Accident Calling from "the insurance company" when I asked him which one he just said about the accident I'd had. I asked which accident, as I've had a lot recently (I haven't needless to say) to which he replied the minor bump in the car. When I told I'd had a few of those in the last couple of months and I was worried that they were going to take my licence off me, but I didn't think it was my fault, even though they all said it was .... then the line suddenly went very quiet. :-)

Life insurance!! When told I could not afford it he persisted no taking no for an answer. Annoying
text message with phone # attempting to procure my debit card information. The message asked if I spent a certain amount at a nearby supermarket I shop at. Then they send me a URL to contact. I put in the url and my computer warned me the site was fraudulent and looking for credit cards, bank info, social security numbers etc. The entire page went red and warned me to NOT give any info to these people. I am still going to call my bank tomorrow morning - Better to be safe than sorry.
Asking for someone who is not me then promptly hung up. Sounded like an Indian call center, avoid this number!
