Fraud Caller said they were from Starling and that someone had fraudulently used my account to pay for £900 on flight tickets and £2000+ on rent. This was of course a lie on their part. They said someone call earlier today and last week pretending to be me and provided all my information so there is no need to do any security checks and in fact the only security check they need is for me to tell them exactly how much I have in my account. Automated call, computer generated female voice stated that my National Insurance number had been compromised and if I didn't press 1 that it would result in legal action.
I got a call from this number this morning on answering A recorded message (american accent0 started the call saying that a legal writ has been placed on my name I should.... I cut the call and redialled the nr and when I engaged with the operator stating I wasn't pleased with bing subject to legal action the operator put the phone down on me. I tried 8 occasions to =speak to a supervisor each time a request was made they hung up

SCAM. Insurance claim related scam. Claiming to be on behalf of Aviva. Rang from a similar number that I had blocked previously. Rang on Christmas Day on a special number that I have that noone knows about outside a small circle of family members (hence my answering thinking it was a Scottish family member - Glasgow number), so they must be getting number to call from EE direct as they asked for me by name. Worrying.

This number keeps ringing me - my boyfriend answered it once (after many calls i refused to answer) and it was a man asking for another womans name. my boyfriend said he had the wrong number and it was left at that. However i have since had more calls from this number. I am very reluctant to answer it and i wish it would stop calling!
