IT'S A DANGEROUS SCAM! A computer is dialling numbers in sequence to sniff out voice lines. If you speak then the line is detected as 'an active voice line' and logged as such, a scammer will then be calling you later! If you don't recognize the number calling DON'T SPEAK, JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear a voice and then the line goes dead then congratulations - you have just successfully escaped being scammed! THESE CALLS ARE HARASSING AND ALWAYS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS!

Called this number back & she claimed to be from HMRC who apparently have served me with two warrants around miscalculation of Tax. They apparently called at my home on two occasions during lockdown when I was home and not allowed to leave me house. She was very plausible, giving me a name, badge number and warrant ref numbers. SMS supposedly from ParcelForce "sorry we missed you earlier... " with a link to parcelforce-gb.co/deliver to 'book a redelivery' 1. It arrived at 17:41 today - Sunday, 2. I'm not expecting any parcels 3. The tracking number appended to the link wasn't recognised by the genuine ParcelForce tracking site.
