SCAM Caller advised that they were calling from UK Benefits Office and I was eligible for compensation. They had received on notification that I was owed PPI claim on a loan. I have no loan history nor credit cards or mortgages, I know I am not eligible. But he was persistent and not happy that I didn't want to confirm my bank details to receive my compensation. BLOCKED!

It is a claim call. You call back the automated service says "claim tea, we will call you back." Nope, i blocked the number.
2 calls today and 1 yesterday from this number. When I answer, it s just a dead line. Have just bought a new car (yesterday)and my mobile is the contact number the dealer has (VERY few businesses have it), so I suspect it s related to my purchase - probably trying to sell me car insurance or extended warranty or something.

You might see this number if you are cooperating with certain Lettings Agencies, the one that uses Rentshield to get references for them, will probably also try to tell you that you need Liability Insurance Policy as a new Tenant.
