SCAM . Put the phone down on Leeds number which was a sounded like a scam - claiming to be fron O2. Rang me back straight away on this number. Clearly spoofing number ID.

Had 3 calls over the last few days from various numbers all starting with the same dalling code, 01926. As this is the code where we live, answered the first call - no immediate response but after a few seconds, over a very crackly line, what sounded like a well spoken middle aged white lady, said something along the lines of 'suspicious transactions on my account, one for £300 odd & the other for £1,400 odd & I must do certain things at which point I hung up. SCAM States Santander passcode for argos fake scam number given.

An Asian gentleman called apparently on behalf of a company called Housing ???. (Couldn't understand the second part of the company name). Claimed that they helped tenants with repairs like mould etc. He knew my name, but didn't seem to know much else, seeing as I am not currently a tenant anywhere
Claimed to be from EE offering me an upgrade, either £7 sim only, or £30 unlimited calls/data and an iPhone 14+ for £30, both deals too good to be true! Pushed them to send me the information, got the customer service version of ~what's to think about, just pick one! so I hung up.

Just received a text from this number that began 'Morning Mum...' (I'm not a Mum!) and the text said that they are calling from a friends phone and their battery is about to expire so please call them back. There is no name of either the sender or the friend or the reason why they are calling so I suspect it's a scam. Please be cautious if you receive this message

Asian woman said her name was Carol (as if) told me I lived at a house I moved from in 2015. Asked who I had life insurance with and started arguing with me when I told her that's none of her business. She kept repeating aviva, bupa, sunlife is your life insurance with those. I kept saying its nothing to do with you. Then she hung up.
