Man with Pakistani accent (no name given) said my computer is giving me trouble. It is, as it's refusing to boot up. He also said it is a laptop, correct again. Completely unnerved, I said that Action Fraud would be delighted to hear about it and then I rang off without giving any of my details. This has got me really, really worried. I do my utmost to keep everything secure, with passwords, 3 step authentication, etc. How has he got in?

A few minutes later I needed to make a call so I spent some time getting the screen to light up in order to dial out. Surprisingly this number was still calling me. Phoned me 29 april /23 april/21 april and today at 06.00 2nd May. I answered but no response, some intermittent clicking and tone. I put the receiver down after about one minute I'd answered 'Hallo' but no other message identifying me.

I get repeated calls from this number, which I don't answer. I do not know who the caller is. They always leave a blank voice message of a few seconds with no one speaking. I assume it is a telemarketer given the number of calls, and short messages with no voice.,
