This company are based on Scotland, however have now taken to ringing me multiple times per day from a local landline number of which this is one, I guess in an effort to trick me into answering despite telling them to only contact via post

Supposedly a guy from Three trying to sign me up to a 24 month contract for a new Sony Xperia. When refused, offered iPad. Just said no.

For about 4 years I have been getting idiots ringing up asking for Nicky Herron or mr heffron and no matter how many times I keep telling them I don't know any one by those...

Followed up with Mobile number 07810 3014010 Posing as NHS type social services, trying to sell massively overpriced Baths ( £5000 ).Used TPS barred number illegally. Fronted by woman. Aggressive selling. Contact tradings standards if you find elderly victims.

Just checking on a missed call

Number actually shows as 0019798234079 on caller ID but this site seems to drop the 00. This is a Windows security scam where they tell you that you have viruses on your PC and they can fix them for you. Didn t go along with it today and said to them that I suppose they were going to show me errors and warnings in my Windows event logs and they just hung up without any further comment. Hopefully they will remove me from their database if they realise I m too Windows savvy to ever fall for this.

Answered this number but hung up straight away, blocked.

really super pushy Microsoft scam - strong Indian accent, trying to get me to enter a series of keystrokes... would that have been me effectively hacking mySELF? hung up on him

This is. Legitimate number. It is an emergency call line for housebound and elderly. Answer the call it could be your loved on.

This company, Ventrica, work for a variety of other companies. May be calling you about a customer service issue you have with one of those companies.

Obviously a call centre call with Indian sounding voices. I no longer answer Asian callers as it has always been some kind of scam in the past.

Trying to get me to upgrade phone to them but have 21 months left to run on my current contract

Cold caller trying to get us to change landline/broadband. Insisted on speaking to Director. Would not say who he was until pressed several times. Would not say what he was calling about until pressed. When I started to tell him the proper procedure, he hung up in mid-sentence.
