This number is from Halifax/Lloyds banking group fraud team. They can stop your card and refund if anything has been taken. I am sure this number is ok. It did start out automated - which made me wary but you get through to a person quickly afterwards. They ran over the acts from law, didnt ask for any pin information and were polite and what youd expect from a bank team. Actually nice to have a bank being proactive in preventing your money being taken.

Obviously from a foreign call centre, their grasp of English was so poor I didn't have a clue what they were talking about, I think it was something to do with Mobile phones, however ten minutes before I did have another foreign chap enquiring about the accident I have had, which strangely enough I don't recall having, so basically irritating people calling about nothing of interest.
