Claimed to be Carphone warehouse offering an upgrade, told him i didn t have my phone from Carphone warehouse and he said "we are calling on behalf of EE" I hung up and called EE who told me they don t have other companies call about upgrades as they would rather people upgrade through them directly. So, is it Carphone warehouse?..... Maybe. Is it a scam? .......Possibly. Is it dishonest?...... DEFINITELY!

Unfortunately I couldn't waste their time or find out what they want as I was in a hurry to go to work, but the voice I heard was an automated male voice, I couldn't understand much apart from "you have ~smth~ on your name", might have been "fine". Over the last two days these people have called me four times. After the first one I told them to stop calling me, but they have repeatedly called since then. I just answered again and told them to stop bothering me and they hung up. They claim to be from The Financial Justice Service and it's the usual PPI nonsense, but sounds very dodgy - they don't have the right name for me and kept asking for my details (email etc).

This 4th time I have a call from this number. A man voice saud us calling from Vanquis credit card. He wanted me to confirm my name for security reasons. I said why would vanquis want to call me cant the write and how would I know its Vanquis. He the said if I say my email he will say my dob and I say my post code and he will say my home number. So I told him I do not trust people on the phone asking private information abd he just cut me off without explaining the reason or if they are going to write me .
