Scam trying to get information
Scam caller, states they are O2 offering me a discount on the services I have with them (I'm not even with O2). When questioned about how they got my number, became very hostile and rude. The line was also very poor, kept crackling.

Asian man called. Knew my partners full name. Said he was ringing to discuss a home maintenance contract. I told him that the man he wanted to speak to had recently died.
Message left was incomplete. Robotic voice said “bank account. So enjoy using Amazon Prime Services or to unsubscribe from service speak to our Amazon Service Manager, press and 1.” I would not trust the fact that it is a mobile number, incomplete robotic Amazon message, etc. but cannot be certain.

Got a call from this number claiming to be from my Mobile Phone provider offering an upgrade. As I am on a PAYG tariff (satisfactory for my needs) I politely declined their offer and hung-up. If and when I want or need an upgrade I will decide which Company to approach.

If this is as others say ..Everest. that company went bust in 2019 and is now called everest 2020. They still owe or Chapel more than 4k deposit back. I have had this number blocked since last year because it kept ringing and there was nothing there . It just came up again as a blocked call today.. and yesterday. It was not ghe number I had as a contact for Everest or Everest 2020.
Fraud Called pretending to be instructed by an United Kingdom Insurance Limited. He spoke very convincingly and was stubborn that the call was "not out of the blue" that he was instructed to call me because they had to transfer funds to me in relation to driving accident that was not my fault. Called me 6 times in the past 3 weeks. I have missed all the calls as they happened when I am working. They have never left me a message which makes me assume either dodgy or cold calling. After reading other people's comments below I have blocked the number - if it is green peace as some suggest then I have no idea how they have got my number. I have never donated to Greenpeace however I may well have signed petitions but I don't think you usually give out your phone number when you sign a petition

Early morning call; the caller claimed to be from amazon asking about an iPhone order(never made) and said someone must have used my details. They asked if I was on an Android or iPhone, or to go to google on chrome to search for 'Anydesk' ( this App is for remote access, so I refused to download it,) when they realized I understood what it was they hung up.
