I am elderly and diabled, and answered the call and the caller rang off immediately.
Said they were calling (my elderly father who lives with Dementia ????) from Domestic & General, which then changed to Legal & General, then back to D&G, wanting to pay a £250 refund and could they just have his bank card details to check…. ???? Fortunately I was there to intercept. Called about a recent accident I had, pushing me to make a claim despite no injuries. Told the guy I wasn't interested, after a couple of times he seemed to accept at the same time I hung up. Not overly pushy, just trying to do his job I guess. The main thing that annoyed me was that I asked if was appointed by either the 3rd party's or my own insurance he told me neither, he got my details from some accident database.

Man with a thick Indian accent rang claiming to be from BT ringing about the internet slowing down at the house. He had my name and address and postcode. When I asked what my account number was he reeled off a number (which later check was wrong). I said I’d call by back and he gave me an 0333 number saying it was BT customer service. Rubbish! Very clever scammers trying to gain access to your internet where they can steal your bank details etc
